In-person attendance
This year, we have decided to prioritize in-person attendance for our conference to foster deeper connections, more engaging discussions, and hands-on learning experiences. By focusing on an in-person event, we aim to create a more dynamic and immersive experience that will allow attendees to network more effectively and engage more meaningfully with peers and experts in the field.

Shape the Future of FMRAC’s Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
As medical regulation evolves, FMRAC’s communities of practice offer a place to share knowledge, get prepared and even stay ahead of future changes.
This joint session will bring together MRA Registrars and SIG members for an open and engaging conversation about the evolution of these vital communities of practice. We’ll explore how SIGs can innovate, foster collaboration, and develop together as a community of experts.
This is your chance to directly influence the direction and impact of SIGs, to maximize their value in the years to come.
Join us to share your insights, contribute your ideas, and help shape the future of these important communities of practice.
This session is reserved for all SIG members and Registrars.
Afternoon of June 12th, 2025
Duration: 2 hours
How might we, as a Regulatory community and with our CMF partners, look past the challenges and work together to find new ways that we might drive sustainable, meaningful change for healthcare in Canada?
We will work with Phil Culhane, a facilitator who specializes in large systems transformation around wicked problems. Although not a healthcare subject matter expert, Phil has worked within the Canadian healthcare environment many times to help resolve critical challenges over the past 25 years. He will not bring solutions to the table but will discuss how to create the conditions where we might be able to draw on the combined wisdom, resources and skills of our leadership teams to co-create net new solutions.
This session is reserved for FMRAC’s CMF partners and Registrars.
Morning of June 12, 2025
Duration: 1.5 hours
This session will highlight innovations developed and implemented by MRAs across Canada. It offers a unique opportunity to showcase the remarkable work being done within our community and facilitate knowledge sharing to improve MRA practices nationwide.
Four MRAs will be selected to present their innovations in a dynamic format, including a brief presentation followed by a Q&A session. This interactive structure will allow attendees to learn from successful initiatives, explore potential applications in their own colleges, and foster collaboration.
By showcasing these advancements, we aim to inspire further innovation and contribute to a stronger and more unified MRA landscape across the country.
This session will not only celebrate achievements but also provide a valuable platform for networking and cross-pollination of ideas.
This session is open to all registered participants.
20 minutes
Join us for a short wrap up, where we will thank outgoing FMRAC President Georges Carruthers and welcome incoming FMRAC President Tanis Addey at the helm of our federation.
This session is open to all registered participants.
A networking lounge will be made available throughout the course of the entire program with the intention of creating an inviting space for unstructured collaboration and conversations. Pop in anytime throughout the event for a moment of relaxation, networking with peers from across the country and making new connections.
