Dr. Scott McLeod has been the Registrar of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta since July 2017. Before that, he spent almost 27 years with the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), where he practised medicine, lead health care teams, and planned, developed and executed strategic, operational and tactical level plans in a wide variety of health fields, including mental health, aerospace medicine, primary care, public health, health research, emergency medicine and health services support. His last position with the CAF was the Deputy Surgeon General. In that role he was the clinical leader for all health professions in the Canadian Armed Forces and he provided oversight and leadership for all clinical programs in the CAF.
